Rafting Genil River – Family Segment
Rafting or white water rafting is the activity that consists of descending down a river, following the direction of the currents in a pneumatic raft with the help of a specialized guide who will guide the group all the way down. This is one of the most adrenaline-pumping adventure sports, where you can share moments of fun, excitement and laughs with your family.
RAFTING GENIL RIVER – FAMILY SEGMENT DESCRIPTION
Basically, we will descend down the Genil riverbed into this particular pneumatic raft. You will be guided by a professional monitor who will steer the raft with the help of the group.
At the beginning of the activity, the guide will give some basic notions to know how to proceed in the river and its possible difficulties. It is not necessary to have previous experience. Children must know to swim.
The Family segment level is also known as QUIET WATERS, GRADE I-II in difficulty, recommended for children from 6 years and upwards. This segment takes place in the town of Cuevas Bajas (Malaga).
It lasts an average of 1-1.5 hours descending, 2.5-3 hours in total. It will depend on the flow of the river and the size of the group.

– Group size: Min. 4 – Max. 56. (If your group is smaller, you can join other groups).
– Period: from April to October approximately.
– Language: Spanish and English.
– Accessible: Yes (depends on the disability).
– Family friendly: Yes (The family segment or half of the white water segment it is suitable for 14 years old kids).
INCLUDES
– Approved technical equipment (NEOPRENE, the water is always very cold even in summer, waistcoat, helmet and paddle).
– Monitor (river instructor).
– Transportation with driver.
– Toilets and showers in our facilities.
– First aid kit.
– Insurance of civil responsibility and injuries. .
EXCLUDING
Photos and videos performed during the activity.
DON’T FORGET TO BRING
– Bathing suit and towel.
– Sun protection.
– Closed-toe wet shoes or hard-soled booties.
– Change of clothes and shoes to wear after the activity.
– Cancellation 30 days or more before the agreed start date of the activity. You will be automatically refunded the full activity fee.
– Cancellation 15 days before the agreed activity start date. You are reimbursed 50% of the full activity fee.
– Cancellation 15 days or less, before the agreed start date of the activity, is considered a last minute cancellation. No refund will be possible.
